Am I the only one who is getting tired of all of the negativity that algorithms shove on you nowadays?

I don't want to hear about how the world around me is falling apart or some other depressing garbage, I just want to have a nice, relaxing day.

Lately, I've been avoiding recommended sections more often because it's the only way I can keep myself from falling apart from the literal assault of stressful content that gets shown constantly.

Thoughts?

Looks like this was a good decision to make this year given the recent stuff with Bluesky. Thank god.

To anyone currently making their own game, I'd like to ask if anyone else has had this sort of gripping fear when considering publishing anything on their project early with the rise of AI lately.

I've had an idea in mind for a while now but I'm afraid to share anything about it bc of AI, and as a result, I've just not had any motivation to work on the project, since I feel stuck in my options/choices.

The fear of having my work plagiarized is utterly paralyzing and I hate it.

Decided to check Bluesky for the first time in a while, they've announced their own AI tool, and the CEO is being replaced with a venture capitalist, great.

Guess I'm moving to Mastodon full-time now. What a way for them to fumble the bag.

I'd post more on here if I had anything worth posting to be honest, but I don't really have a lot.

Been trying to avoid AI like the plague in the meantime though, it's genuinely insane how much it has seeded itself into every facet of society.

Yes, I know this reads like a bot lmao, it's just a thought that I've had on my mind recently, especially since Gen AI blew up and obliterated any sense of joy I had in development for a long time.

It feels like everyone has gotten carried away with chasing these things rather than doing what makes them happy. Obviously, you need a job / money to actually live in society, but we live in such a hyper-sensationalized world that's impossible to keep up with, and it gets tiring.

Been thinking in the last few weeks, and I feel like society kind of conditions us into relying on external validation and virtual points more than self-fulfillment, we get hooked on that little dopamine hit when we see an imaginary number go up that ultimately means nothing, and it usually leads to sadness.

There's so much competition out there, and there will always be someone better than you and worse than you, so do your best.

I'm curious though, what do you think?

And of course, my favorite Deltarune character is Ralsei aka. Toothpaste Boy, Fluffy Boy and so on :)

I will always choose any option that I see the game give me to be nice to him in my playthroughs.

More of a positive post after that ... rant.

To be honest, something that genuinely keeps me sane in today's world has to be Undertale & Deltarune, both games will forever be some of my absolute favorites and I can not WAIT for Deltarune Chapter 5, both games have been huge inspirations to me as a person and have kept me going in tough times, and I can not thank Toby Fox or any of the team behind both games enough for it.

Normally, I try not to rant publicly on my social media pages, but this literal plagiarism machine has ruined a topic, hobby and my hopes for the future irreparably for me, and I can not help but get angry when I hear about it or see it, it is a blight on creation and a sin against life itself in my eyes.

What AI bros never seem to understand is that quantity over quality is not the way to go if you care about your work, but they only want imaginary points
