Farewell Alan Arkin. ♥️ One of the greats. This is my favorite scene from Big Trouble with Peter Falk.

YouTubeMost everyone I followed over to this platform from Twitter had an initial flurry of activity but have since have encamped to other platforms such as Bluesky and Substack Notes and Post. And the majority are still on Twitter. The threads from the groups /communities I followed on Twitter are still alive and well. I check in here occasionally—but it’s exhausting trying to keep up with all the platforms.
Drinking this outta sight Cabernet Pfeffer and doing my taxes. What could possibly go wrong?
#wine #cabernetpfefferDo Lit Agents still want platform numbers despite the prevailing winds? People who had big follow numbers on Twitter are desperate to get them to migrate over here. Don’t they realize the majority of their Birdbrain followers were bots? If you had 50K there and only 5000 here, 45K were never engaged with you to begin with. I’d rather have a few true followers than thousands of fake followers. But for some, big Twitter numbers are tied to self-esteem and it looks good in a book proposal.
The news of SVB failure is sobering and astonishing. The repercussions to wine world (and beyond) remain to be seen.
