For the second time this year, #PortlandMaine voters have turned out in overwhelming support of #RentControl and #TenantRights and voted against a referendum designed to increase #landlords’ profits and decrease #tenant protections. We are so proud of this city of ours, but the fight doesn’t end here.

Courts place people into #conservatorship by deciding they're mentally unfit -- a term which has been used against marginalized people. While the provision in question is not currently enforced, it could serve as a trigger law like after #RoeVWade.

Vote YES ON QUESTION 8 to protect voting rights.

YES ON QUESTION 6 to require that all official printings of Maine's constitution include the entire document, including Section 5 which states Maine’s commitment to honor “all duties and obligations … towards the Indians” accepted as part of Maine’s separation from Massachusetts in 1820. Hiding these obligations is profoundly disrespectful toward the #Indigenous people from whom settlers took this land we call Maine.

YES on Question 4 requires car companies to provide more access to repair parts and technical data for owners and #repair shops. It also requires dealers to tell buyers if the car they're buying is equipped to send data back to the manufacturer. #VOTE YES ON QUESTION 4!

YES ON QUESTION 2 to prevent foreign entities and governments from contributing to campaigns that will influence ballot questions and candidates in Maine. It will also require disclosure on #PoliticalAds if a foreign government or entity has donated any money to that advertisement.
