#Introduction
Hi all, I am Roland Imhoff, @Rolandimhoff on Twitter. I am a German social and legal psychologist at the Johannes-Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany, currently serving the Executive Committee of the European Association of Social Psychology.
I mostly post on research related to my interests conspiracy beliefs, stereotyping & social categorization, social cognition broadly and comparisons specifically. Interested in open, solid and relevant science.
Before you go on holidays, please reboot this position --- a postdoc/junior research group leader on data science in psychology and education science (3 ++ years)! If you're interested in tackling with messy social science data with me, pleae apply!
Finally published – a way to simply describe and understand research findings.
Nearly 40% of people will have a different extraversion level in a few years. Change really is common.
Only about 40% of highly conscientious people perform highly at their jobs. So, most actually don't.
Less than 50% of partners agree on each other's agreeableness. Surprised?
Over 60% of children differ from their parents in any given personality trait. Lucky them ...
And so on.
Few expected that links between life events and personality change are so hard to find.
At least one reason may be that people differ in how they perceive the same events.

The SIPS grants-in-aid program is back! These provide up to $2,500 USD for projects to reduce barriers to improving psychological science.
We encourage and will give preference to fund projects led by scholars who: are members of underrepresented groups, are in training, earned their doctoral degree within the last 7 years, are working in circumstances where research/support is challenging/limited, and are outside Canada/Europe/USA.
Deadline is 15 January 2023.
