Neither here nor there, but I took a break from bg3 over the holidays. Watched a couple of clips from others' games, and something felt weird, but I wasn't sure what. When I got back into my game recently, I realised I was *so relieved* to just be casually referred to as they/them 🥰
Using nb pronouns is relatively new for me, and whether online or offline, it's not something that I really demand or expect. I'm comfortable with whatever. But dang it feels good. Getting grateful to creators who include nb characters, options, etc without making it A Thing™️

I always enjoy browsing this tag; it's like a little self-summary for artists every year 🤩 it's cool to see what people are proud of and what they think of their own work through the year.
As for me, I was slightly more prolific than last year (a win!), *and* most of my "finished" things included multiple images, so I celebrate 🏆
Based on this collection, my art this year was about 75% #HON3YPOT #VisualNovel (or related) content, and 25% crafts.
Looking forward to creating more character and environmental art next year - and probably more papier mâché!

The UI is getting hideous but functional - I'm still clearly building on #RenPy bones, but pleased with how it's coming out. Excited to get all the interface and control stuff nailed down so I can start populating story and art content 😁
I've been meaning to share more regularly, but - in addition to my relative *lack* of progress - programming and game design is a hard thing to share. With art, you can show it. With writing, you can at least share word count or a snippet. But this barely-done UI is nothing to look at, and the code isn't interesting. The only thing to appreciate here is the *potential* of what this could/can/will be.
And maybe that's neat enough? 🤷 Maybe you can imagine sliding that phone out to access the menu, or watching the portrait's reactions to the story?
