@daringfireball I suspect a lot of this “design” is driven by the physical characteristics of springs rather than design choice.
@daringfireball Did he donate to the previous inaugurations (Biden, previous Trump) or is this new behavior?
@daringfireball Apple’s Weather app is worse on every dimension compared to Dark Sky. It’s hard to believe they’re actually using any of that tech.
@SwiftOnSecurity Slow Horses next. Excellent writing and acting.
@daringfireball Oh, I was thinking more that it was a support/durability concern rather than a sales one. Be curious to know their rationale.
Questions I have about this CrowdStrike situation:
Why doesn’t Windows create a restore point before a driver update like this and revert to it if a boot loop is detected?
Why isn’t the Bitlocker disk accessible from safe mode? Doesn’t the OS have to read from the disk to boot?
(How, in the year of our lord 2024, are drivers still able to crash the entire OS?)
@gamingonlinux Valve should make this part of Steam Deck verified testing

I want to do a test on how much traffic and resources the Mastodon embed takes on my server, so boost this plz
