One time I didn’t know enough about a subject to make an informed opinion so I exercised my right to shut the hell up about it. I’ve never felt more alive

Baseball is a funny sport because it’s an historic sport, rich with history and tradition but odd because one of the most important statistics is Home Runs.

There’s this old Japanese player named Sadaharu Oh who has *FAR* more home runs than the controversial MLB Home Run record holder Barry Bonds. Like by a lot. Like by a *LOT* a lot

And his biggest claim to fame is being an excellent reference in the Beastie Boys song, “Hey, Ladies”

So, what I’m saying is, all-in-all, pretty good deal for him

The last pay phone being removed yesterday in Inlet New York in the #Adirondacks for #ThrowbackThursday I used to drive 2 miles from the camp where I vacationed with my Mom to use these phones to call my husband (who is not a woodsy person and stayed home) and others. They were essential not just before cell phones, but for decades after because cell service is spotty at best in the mountain wilderness where Inlet is located. RIP, faithful servants.
