@M0YNG https://phil-wise.com/bandplan/ is my normal go to no nonsense version, though I'm not sure it's completely up to date.

A little shout out to D&R (https://www.dnrbroadcast.com/)... I'm taking a look at one of their mixers for a friend that's developed a couple of faults (well out of warranty).

Their webshop lists almost every component it uses as spares (though there's nothing too exotic to start with), and upon emailing their support team to see if there was a service manual available, I got a full set of schematics by return!

_That_ is how repairability should work...

@M0YNG at least with FT8, the limited bandwidth won't be much of a constraint!

I found the monoband whips ok on 20m and up, and not much use on 80/40.

If you're parked up, then something like the MA-12 will beat either, but no good while driving!

@M0YNG Small, efficient, wideband: pick at most two of those three.

With that antenna, you get small, but efficiency will be limited (especially on lower bands), and bandwidth will be increasingly narrow so require frequent adjustment.

Depending on your operating goals, that may be the right compromise...

@isleofmandan at LoRa prices, you can do both!
LoRa APRS Tracker

LoRa APRS Tracker What is LoRa? LoRa is a long-range, low power modulation, designed for sending telemetry data. A combined transceiver and modem IC typically delivers up to 100mW, providing similar coverage to 1W or more of AX.25 over FM traditionally used for APRS. What do I need to use APRS on...

@g7ufo @hb9dqm Awesome! Looking forward to having a play with this - looks really neat :)

Wow. The latest @TechConnectify video is just a triumph of everything: https://youtu.be/KtQ9nt2ZeGM?si=-xj4xZCwVz73CXEr

And yes, it's an hour and a half long. And it just keeps building.

You are being misled about renewable energy technology.

@dtl adjacent and not free, but I've found VisualGDB a nice option for VS (full, not Code) work with the Pico SDK while still letting you do vanilla cmake builds in CI. The debugging experience is rather decent via OpenOCD.
@neil Distressingly, "AI Optimization" is now a thing - getting your site more likely to be referenced in LLM results, cited by them, your viewpoint included in the summary etc.
