By focusing on what could be done rather than what is lost.

By envisioning how it could be better rather than how it is.

By dreaming and slowly working towards accomplishing these dreams even knowing only a fraction of it can be achieved.

By celebrating all the little wins no matter how small.

By surrounding oneself with allies who brings you joy, support, and strength.

By not giving up even when everything pushes you to.

By resting when rest is needed.

As an act of rebellion
against an unjust world.

It is difficult, and it requires lots of patience, practice, and self love 💚

If anyone is interested, here's the link to the BIG Launcher suite of apps for Android. The interfaces value simplicity over aesthetics and are designed to meet the needs of people with limited visual acuity. It's expensive as apps go but I have no regrets about giving them my money.

BIG Launcher | BIG Phone | BIG SMS for seniors

A fast and simple Android home screen for seniors and people with vision problems.

While I'm on this rant: The Google Phone app is horrible for seniors. Good alternatives (BIG Phone For Seniors) exist, but switching to them locks them out of the bunch of critical security features (spam and scam filtering) that could be decoupled from Google's phone app, but aren't.

It makes me so angry how hostile the tech world is to seniors.

A semi-regular reminder that streaming pays artists crap, and if there are tracks or albums you listen to frequently then you should buy what you can of them. Anything is good, honestly, since the artist cut from just one track sold on iTunes is more than a few thousand streams of the same track on any of the streaming services.
Elon Musk is mocking the #CBC for returning to #Twitter.

And you know what?

They deserve all the mockery in the world.

Few journalists have a spine. They keep kowtowing to Twitter even though Elon Musk loathes journalism, and openly voices disdain for it.

So of course, Elon Musk mocks the Press -- they don't stand up for themselves.

And quite frankly, if they're not willing to stand up for themselves, how can any of them hold Elon Musk accountable?

This. Is. Amazing.

Montréal suburb has a school zone traffic light that only turns green when its camera detects a car driving under the speed limit.

The light is on a 90-day trial, on a 2-lane residential street. Similar signals are widespread in Europe.

Before installation, vehicles averaged 40 km/h. But in the past week, average speed has dropped to 29 km/h.

Quebec scraps Brossard traffic light that rewards good driving, says it wasn't consulted

A pilot project meant to improve pedestrian safety on a street on Montreal's South Shore came to an abrupt end last week, barely days after it was put in place.
