Do not confound positivity with naivety.
For some people who have been in the darkest places positivity is a survival strategy.
You are not educating them by bringing up defeatism, you are only missing on implementing this strategy for yourself.

got any tips?
By focusing on what could be done rather than what is lost.
By envisioning how it could be better rather than how it is.
By dreaming and slowly working towards accomplishing these dreams even knowing only a fraction of it can be achieved.
By celebrating all the little wins no matter how small.
By surrounding oneself with allies who brings you joy, support, and strength.
By not giving up even when everything pushes you to.
By resting when rest is needed.
As an act of rebellion
against an unjust world.
It is difficult, and it requires lots of patience, practice, and self love 💚
@Em0nM4stodon I appreciate that. I'm glad there are people out there in the world who are good at these things because I am not good at any of them.
I have spent my entire life trying to understand why anyone would, say, run for office knowing they will lose. I don't get it, I genuinely don't. I'm glad they're out there and I'm glad they're doing it but I do not understand how you can do that without completely losing your mind.
So I just sit in the back and fucking fix shit for people. To steal a line from Aaron Sorkin's first TV show, I can make glass tubes. That is pretty much all i'm good for, but the good news is there's lots of people who need glass tubes.
