South Mainland. Techy sort, works from home.

@alcinnz aye. It got this way through active malice, rather than some sort of technological oversight or lack of leadership.

We were actively - and competently - moved in this direction by people with a massive hunger for data. JS satisfies that for now, but we're already seeing moves to embed the behaviour directly in the browser, rather than relying on JS. What a world.

Funny, they misspelt "sell things and track your every move - literally".

But I like the world they describe and would like to live in it again *sigh*

Wow! Fantastic artical!

Push back against people who think they need SPAs and heavy JS frameworks. "If I told the builder of my home to make it out of straw, I would hope she would convince me otherwise."

The Web I Want

The web is supposed to be accessible to all but flavour of the month techniques and over-complication is ruining everything

Speaking of technological aesthetics, there’s one in particular that has been and needs to continue coming back...

TRANSPARENCY.

Oh look, someone who follows 40K others just followed me

...blocked

I just thought I'd come up with a great blockchain scam.

Turns out it's an actual thing that already exists.

Probably still a scam, but not *my* scam, damnit!

@hoodieak and remember /@/ for when you want to match an email address :)
@yuri56 Nazis are bad and I do not want to give them a platform for recruiting.
@hoodieak absolutely. It matches any string that contains the text "git"
