Kayak shelf mk2

Perching the kayak atop 2 360x300 brackets failed miserably when all its weight landed on the tip of a single bracket during loading.

So, I've upped the number of brackets to 4 and laid a sheet of 600x2300x12 ply atop them to form a weight-distributing shelf. Even got around to covering it in stain.

DIY = GOD

Awww yisssssssssssss
Kayaking involves many good things. In particular, it opens up now opportunities to get free food! Here are some mussels we got from a bridge pillar, all cleaned up. Tea tonight :-)
The GPS trace shows a stop-off at a small island. Here's a picture I managed to get

Who's a good dog?

Not Rosa. Not today. Not even a bit. She knows what she did.

Still adorable though.

Peace and quiet while I work. Rare :+D

First bit of proper DIY in a while. Kayak is too long for the garage, so I built it a little stand off the fence instead.

Fibreglass is UV-resistant so it should be fine like this. Might still get a little Arnold hat for it though.

I thnk this was Friday's sea kayaking trip (there and back again). I'm a bit fuzzy on where we finished, as I capsized at that bit. Again. https://goo.gl/maps/RG8aoYC7V3z

I've finally got a phone case so should be able to start recording actual GPS traces and using OSM soon!

A wild stuffed marrow appears!

(Actually not wild at all, I'm close to the bottom of this week's veg box though)

Twelve quid of vegetable from turriefield. This is easily the best thing in the world right now.

Do your worst, brexit!
