One foot still in birdsite and another in Mastodon.

I tend to post things about #antiCapitalism, #antiColonialism, #antiRacism, #antiSexism, #LGBTQ and so forth. Lefty leftist spreading leftism.

As a proletariat, I am also interested in the development of our human world through #science and #technology. And the development of the human spirit through #humanism and #religion.

We believe in magic or aliens before we believe that labor is the only source of new value in society.

Not long ago, our species was not on the top. There were lions and other courageous predators that stood above us. We were still scared monkies always thinking somebody was behind us going to eat us.

Through the miracle of language and cooperation, we rose to the top far faster than we should have. Instead of being courageous dominatrs, we are scared dominators. And that fear is what makes us the most dangerous species to ever have existed.

The working class in America don't wage war on those who exploit them every day because they foolishly all think their big windfall is coming up, just around the corner. So they hold out and work hard until they die. Generation after generation.

It's not so much that people don't want to work anymore, it's that people don't want to work under harsh conditions anymore. Workers are being less masochistic. That's a good thing.

Poor countries are not under-developed, they are over-exploited.
Social bonds are great. But each one of us must understand ourselves as individuals as well. Neither the individual nor the collective should dominate but both should push and pull on each other until each is refined.
Within the financial models used to run a capitalist system, things are not a "zero-sum game" as our libertarian bros like to point out. But here in the real world, we must deal with the reality of resource constraints, real labor and who's actually footing the true costs of this system. When you look at it as a whole, the rich are absolutely taking the wealth from the poor and giving back mere crumbs if anything at all.

Most countries are democratic. And most countries are wealthy. The critical questions are democratic for WHO? And wealthy for WHO?

If everything feels like its falling apart, it probably because it is but the for the people in charge, it's highly likely that everything's going very, very well.

I guess we got just five more years of falling apart and then the world can finally get on with making a better future for itself.

From #Lenin 's "The State and Revolution".

The state is there to mediate between classes as best it can. So long as it is successful at doing so, the class system can remain functional. When it falters at it's job, things get violent, and revolution becomes possible.
