@bookishthingsforreaders My coffee costs £1 per litre ...

Beans are £12 to £15 per kilo

Second hand 1970s stovetop percolator from free to £20 or a modern #cafetiere around the same

Second hand good bean grinder ~£20

10 minutes to make and if travelling I fill a thermos, holding the same as 3 large black coffees

With coffee at £3+ per cup, you would save £20 a week!

Plus, honestly, my #coffee is less bitter and a fresher higher quality grind than from local cafés

Listened in for a full hour to the #Conservative's budget statement

BORING listening to "stability, growth and public services", when the rhetoric was the exact opposite of what was actually in the budget

* 7% cut to wages

* No protection for the poorest

* Shrinking economy

Saying "compassionate Conservatives" while causing the mass deaths of children, does not prove how nice you are

+ promising things in 2028 when you can't predict the rest of this month is stupid

🚨**A MESSAGE**🚨

To the 17.4 Million. We warned you, so thanks for nothing! 😳

Press headlines are today calling her a "feminist campaigner", but...

She is under police investigation for multiple #fraud offences

She's only notable for #GenderCritical #antitrans activism, 'allegedly' #homophobic and #transphobic abuse

In 2021 the UK CPS dropped the #HateCrime case but didn't clear her name. Her fundraising uses #Suffragettes, as if Millar is a martyr for women, by attacking #transwomen

EXCLUSIVE: Feminist campaigner Marion Millar in police fraud probe as Dundee firm claims it lost £50k

6. Nigerian volunteers

WikiAsk was promoted from the start to Nigerian volunteers. The Telegram group was around 60% Nigerian located volunteers.

This appears a deliberate choice in establishing the initial market for WikiAsk. It seems likely that the majority of unpaid volunteers writing content for WikiAsk are Nigerian because of the way the initial marketing events and Telegram promotion worked.

@JakeOrlowitz

5. Crypto content

"People" who promote the site and select which content to market on, appear to be the same crypto background people paid by WikiAsk Inc. Yes this means they are interested in #Crypto. These are not the unpaid volunteers who do not control how the promotion of the site and selected content works.

Today the top question on WikiAsk is "Why did #FTX fail and collapse?" I do not see this as a coincidence.

@JakeOrlowitz

3. Ads

There is none, so let's park this as future unknown.

4. Crypto

Cherman is a Crypto marketeer, as well as mystery age defying medications, which presumably don't work as none has evidence that it does {{cn}}

Some of his WikiAsk network, based on their Telegram profiles, are also Crypto marketeers.

WikiAsk Inc. has this background of crypto projects and the money for it has come from crypto.

@JakeOrlowitz

2. Shareholders

Citation Needed.

There is no legal definition of the rights of 'shareholders' for WikiAsk Inc., nor a definition of ownerships, nor a list of directors, nor a list of owners, nor a list of employees that may have rights as shareholders.

As far as the evidence goes, it appears that 'shareholders' are a nominal status that may have no relationship to legal ownership if the site were sold commercially.

1. BVI

Location means that volunteers have no GDPR protections (despite the website discussing GDPR in its terms). There is a unique data protection act which is not the same thing. It would be extremely difficult for volunteers to enforce a take down or other legal action in the BVI.

The BVI is not "tax neutral" (whatever that means), individuals, like Bill, do not have to file tax returns because their tax is zero. It is a tax haven.

@legoktm the terms for the wikis.world server ban hate speech, but unlike other big Mastodon servers, #homophobic or #transphobic (or anti-LGBTQ) speech is not specifically banned

In comparison the #Wikimedia #UCoC includes these to ensure a safe space for LGBTQ+ participants

Was this an oversight? Thanks
