From playground to climate lab
On São Miguel Island in the Azores, five schools joined the LEVERS for Climate movement through the Biodiversity Niches project, turning their schoolyards into living Laurissilva Gardens 🌿.
Students explored native forests, worked with scientists, and planted spaces that will keep growing long after the project ends.

On May 28, the Birch Glacier collapsed, destroying most of the village of Blatten (VS). A tragic event — but not isolated. In just two years, Switzerland has lost 10% of its glacier volume.
The theme of the Levers Swiss Venture 2025, "water and glaciers", has never felt more urgent.
