Me, myself and I.LeVerménarque, also known as "Crazy French Guy". Painter (not as good as I would like), gamer (not as often as I would like) & hobbyist. #warmonger#WH40K #Necromunda #WHFB #Mordheim
NEW ACCOUNTThis is my old account. Find me on the dice.camp server under the same alias for new adventures.

Moving my online accounts as we speak:

This account is in the process of moving to the dice.camp server (validation pending).

Also deleting my old Twitter account. Some found memories there (will dl the data) but won't use the app anymore.

In the meantime, moving my instagram account to pixelfed. Any of you using it? If so, what server do you use? Where kind I find nice and crazy hobbyists?

Still valid. Except: I won't use insta. Can't bear the new adds policy.

Can't bear the new politics of You Know Who.

Currently migrating. Pixelfed seems a nice place to explore.

Last one is still wip in my head, is it "The Knights of Bretonnia" or is it "The Old World", where I share pictures of all my WHFB armies?...

I do not know yet.

I like the idea of separating different universe to create an atmosphere but one army/one account may be a bit "too much".

Anyway, what do you think? Am I crazy? Would you like to read some of the stories my head is filled with about the lives and deeds of my tiny plastic soldiers?

So here the Grand Plan (I love how my brain makes Grand Plan fully knowing I won't have the time needed to make it as I imagined it): thematic secondary accounts.

I am thinking about:
_one for Mordheim, weird, dirty and dark, which will feature my various warbands but also the "Citizens of Mordheim" projects I am working on at the moment ;
_one for #TheLastBrotherhood, my Black Legion ;
_one for my Knights of Bretonnia (?).

Terraforming my insta account into a more coherent beast would be one way to go.

Still there is a major issue with this: I am a hobby butterfly and I feel ab account showing a vibrant and colourful bretonnian next to a sadistic Dark Apostle wouldn't fit the bill.

On top of that I think I need to keep a "all you want to share without thinking too much about it" kind of account.

I think Insta is the right tool. I love accounts with very expressive pictures of minis flanked by a short "lore" written by the painter.

These may be my favourite "genre" of accounts and I feel it is something I want to try.

Now what these accounts have in common (and mine clearly has not) is a very strong aesthetic coherence. I feel it is a very important of it, it helps create an atmosphere. They give you a window inside the brain of the author and the universe they are building.

For those of you who were there 10000 years ago you may remember I wrote a piece about why I love painting miniatures. In a nutshell, I do it to tell stories. Painting is a way for me to tell the stories I tell myself about the minis.

I have been thinking about how to reinforce the "narrative" aspect of how I share my work online, taking into account the limited amount of free time I have because of RL.

New grand plan. With the Great Move South approaching my brain is digging up many old projects and new ideas and ways to do things differently.

Hobbywise it's been a long that I am frustrated with the way I share my work online. I loved the old twitter crowd but I let my presence online drift for years. My blog is......out of date to say the least and maintaining it would be too much work. My insta account is....a mess.

Anyway, none of these current accounts fulfill what I feel I want to do.

Been splashing some paint in this pretty fellow :)

And while it's a #40k model... I think it would work equally well in most D&D style games as well.
