🔍 Action Wanted

My main takeaway in terms of content: there's significant concern about climate and democracy. The issue isn't a lack of understanding but a lack of progress. We don’t have a knowledge problem; we have an action problem.

👾 Stay True

I was sometimes more, sometimes less satisfied with my choice of sessions. Apart from that: I find it remarkable how few commercial interests influence the program (in my opinion, there may be very strict positions among the visitors)

The discourse this year feels more serious and less nerdy. One reason might be the evolving nature of the internet. You’re reading this on Mastodon or LinkedIn, not on Twitter or via RSS like in the early days.

🌞 Special Atmosphere

The re:publica, a major conference on society and the internet, succeeds in creating a special culture of diversity and togetherness. I'm inspired by the creative solutions for sustainability and how diversity is genuinely embraced.
