Best acting in a tv series in years, it’s outstanding. A story that has matured, deepened, characters are locked in to choices, frames of thinking, it’s brilliant. Loading my snacks up for 9pm. 👍🏻👀

Time for a 2023 #introduction post.

Nice to meet you!

My name is Jessica Lévai (last name rhymes with the denim brand). I have a PhD in Egyptology, taught anthropology and mythology for eight years, and now I write fiction.

My first novella, The Night Library of Sternendach: A Vampire Opera in Verse, won the Lord Ruthven Association award for best vampire fiction.

I like musicals, cats, candles, dark chocolate, and word puzzles.
