For Scottish people — a petition re: our amazing glasshouse in Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens—The Kibble Palace.

Free to enter for a hundred years, and maintained by Glaswegians via council tax, the government wants us now to pay a £3 entrance fee. Please let them know what you think!

Sweepstake in a pub in #HebdonBridge tonight for the ending of #HappyValley. Wish I was there 👋 🙏🏻

Ice crystals this am on kelp thrown up by storms on the beach, zoom in for the pattern.

Time for a 2023 #introduction post.

Nice to meet you!

My name is Jessica Lévai (last name rhymes with the denim brand). I have a PhD in Egyptology, taught anthropology and mythology for eight years, and now I write fiction.

My first novella, The Night Library of Sternendach: A Vampire Opera in Verse, won the Lord Ruthven Association award for best vampire fiction.

I like musicals, cats, candles, dark chocolate, and word puzzles.
