Public historian, occasional bicyclist, noted bon vivant. My posts are not sanctioned by God nor Man nor my employers.
@dsquintana Plus humanities grants take months to write for like $30k.
@kmobriant Don't get your hopes up.
@kmobriant Wow what a thread! My original training was in #ethnohistory and I used L&C journals in my first book. In 2004 my family participated in the bicentennial hysteria by following the trail from Missouri to the sea--a frequently annoying experience for an ethnohistorian moving into public history!
@katethornhill It's my favorite conference. Very welcoming. Very much an organization of powerful women. Great engagement with the city where it is hosted. And dine-arounds, where you sign up to have dinner with a dozen likely strangers who share a common interest.

@scrivenersmith @amassaro

I am a huge fan of #Curatescape as a platform for teaching. My site Spokane Historical has grown to 700 geolocated stories, all written by my students at #EasternWashingtonUniversity. It's based on #Omeka so it's going to be around. https://spokanehistorical.org/

@joemo I'll have you know that I had dozens of followers on Twitter. DOZENS.
@Limerick1914 Yeah I had created some neat classroom activities in Google Fusion Tables. I never did find a replacement, did you?
First post: I'm a public historian who tweets mostly about #publichistory #progressivepolitics #spokane and #bicycles . Hoping to find my old Tweeps and new friends here when Elmo blows up Twitter.
