Business analyst by day (more a developer), a fluffy saber-toothed wolf-dragon doing some programming and system admin on Linux otherwise.

The username is pronounced "lapin" and is the translation of bunny (or rabbit) in French.

I should probably share the art I acquired recently.

Drawn as a dragon, based on some previous sketches from another artist. Art by the wonderful @Mollin ! 🐉

seriously, job variable got set to null, so uhm if anyone is looking for a Linux admin, software developer (Java, C/C++, C#, Rust) or game dev (Godot) let me know.

New ref sheet! ✨
Thought it was time to refresh Grout, er... Kanjon's ref with something that more reflects my art today.

There's a simple ref, and an extended sheet with full markings, colors, clothing, lore, tails, and even drawing ideas.

🖼️ Higher quality images in thread!

YOU CAN'T SEE ME!
@IceWolf Glad you're finally home !

What's new? I've renamed him to Kanjon with a nickname of Grout (former name), since that's how most people know him. I even usually call him Kanjon.

I've also added a marking onto the back, and tossed out the optional face markings. Otherwise, same critter, same colors.

Character Reference Sheets

Look! It's a fox? Simple and Special Edition Extended Cut reference sheets of Kanjon's characters. Drawing ideas included!

Fun facts:
- This entire ref is a vector! Hundreds of layers. (But I can't post that because Affinity Designer corrupts the strokes on export. Whoops.)
- The front and back views are all straight lines!
- The Paper Mario look is genuinely a coincidence! But I'll take it. :D
I spent way too long on this part and eventually just quickly re-drew his face with the thought of "just make him look goofy"
I'm also excited about having drawing ideas on the sheet itself. I'm not sure I've seen others with this, but am definitely going to start suggesting it to folks. Realized I kept writing out the same sort of things for "artistic freedom" commissions and such. Steal this idea for your ref!

@MtKanjon Overall this looks awesome, very well done! Clear, cute, detailed when needed, with a fun, friendly flair about everything.

This feels like a natural representation of the creature I met in VR

@MtKanjon So, it's kind of too late to ask now, but... You did intend the two characters to be a (Gr + in/out) pair pun, didn't you? :)
@Tvorsk haha I didn’t, but you’re not the first to spot that :D
@MtKanjon @Tvorsk It was the plan of your evil twin, Kanjoff!
@MtKanjon wow, this is hands down one of the best refs I have ever seen. I absolutely LOVE the clarity, the way you refer back to the colors by name and with the little colored squares, the schematic depictions of the markings, the vibe ideas! And of course your style is great too!
@cato aaaa thank you! that’s a lovely compliment, I’m flattered 🧡
glad you like!
@MtKanjon omg I love this ref sheet. It has charm and a lot of information about the character that is specifically *for* the artist. This is awesome! :O
