Hi. I am Kris, the human host of the Pnictogen Wing, a big DID plural system (b. 1974) living in South Seattle. I host a large number of fictive and factive introjects, horses, unicorns, dragons, a couple of demons, others.
I will add btw that I learned #ComputerScience and #programming on stuff like Sparc stations, fortified with a bit of MacOS work (I was an #Apple Developer once, back in the mid to late 1990s, though I did nothing of importance) and so far #BSD has felt the most like those happier old times. I don't REALLY hate UNIX that much but the Linux scene hasn't been that fun for me. ~Chara
we would like a dual boot system so that if there's trouble, we can go to #Linux Mint, but perhaps we're not thinking this through the right way. I can't remember whether it was Daria or Cathode Ray Dude (we all live together) who suggested that rather than dual booting I should run other OSes off removable drives. I rather like that idea, then I can just make a #GhostBSD system the main, make sure the file system is something Linux can read, and then boot off a thumb drive for Linux #gaming
Wow. I can think about this stuff again! I must be less insane. Uh, sorry for being insane everyone. I know it's...(*sighs*) we've lost a lot of friends.

I would like to say, #GhostBSD so far has given me the most *relaxed* alternate operating system experience on the PC, even if it's the flakiest with stuff like games. now if we could only figure out how to get the dual boot working (only GhostBSD comes up in the boot menu just how the fuck does #UEFI shit work anyway) ~Chara
