Anyone else going to see the tall ships in Baltimore Harbor this weekend? I was a kid in '76 when they came to Boston for the Bicentennial. I thought they were super interesting. Now that I have read (and re-read) "Master and Commander" and all the rest of the sea-faring series, I expect I'll find it even more interesting.
There's an article on Axios today about the NY elections, and this is a quote from the article: "Suozzi said it is time for the Democrats' moderate wing to "wake up" to the threat posed to them by the democratic socialists."
Leave it to the "moderate" Democrats to take EXACTLY the wrong message from the surging of the Democratic Socialists. It is not a threat, it's a GIANT OPPORTUNITY. #USpol
My son has taken a part-time job giving music lessons at a store-front music school. Twice now he's had the client cancel the lesson just as he was getting ready to travel to the site. When this happens, he says he doesn't get paid, but the music school doesn't refund the client's monthly fee, either. It's aggravating for me, as I have set aside the time to ferry my son to the jobs.
Some possibilities:
1. This is unfair, but legal
2. This is unfair and illegal
3. My son is mistaken and he will get paid all or a portion of his scheduled time.
Anyone know how this works in Maryland?
