"No standing, talking, drinking water, using your phone, taking notes, or using the toilet" says the AWS online certification requirements, as Amazon once again mistakes test-takers for their own employees.

Searching for “OpenAI” in the App Store and the top result is an ad for some scam company instead? That’s not gonna win customer trust, Apple.

And you’re gonna need that.

Here's a little sneak peek of what's coming later this month 👀 (Yes, it will be completely free online for everyone to read ❤️)

Tipping is getting out of hand. I know there are many people who rely on tips to take home something that often doesn't even approximate a living wage. Business would have you believe that without tipping, they would have to raise prices to make up the difference. Maybe there's a little truth there, but fundamentally, when Wall Street continue to report string growth numbers, maybe corporate greed needs to be tamped down a little rather than gouging consumers to pay employees. https://www.wsj.com/articles/tipping-self-checkout-restaurants-airports-c3e09f7

I don’t understand tipping in this (or most other) context. I’m all for people getting a fair wage so that tipping is not necessary. It’s interesting that this has come up with a store that’s unionized. Coincidental? I think not. Will you tip a sales rep at an Apple Store? https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-05-03/apple-s-unionized-store-workers-seek-tips-and-higher-holiday-pay?cmpid=BBD050723_POWERON&utm_medium=share&utm_source=website&utm_term=230507&utm_campaign=mobile_web_share
Apple’s Unionized Store Wants to Start Accepting Tips from Customers

Workers at Apple Inc.’s unionized store in Maryland are asking for higher pay and additional time off, along with changes that could affect the company’s tightly controlled retail experience, such as letting customers tip employees.

Tried a couple of times now to switch away from @overcastfm, not because it isn't awesome (it is!) but because I've been finding more and more I just want to use the included stuff from Apple. I keep coming back to @overcastfm because there really is no better podcast app out there - I've tried almost all of the ones worth trying. I just need video playback for it to be complete!
