Tabling with the local club in Ann Arbor, MI. We're doing CW on 20m if anyone wants to say hi
Q: I've got a 40m/20m fan dipole and I'd like to add an 80m element but don't have enough space. Is there a way to fold or otherwise reduce the length of the 80m element while still feeding it at the same point?
The bad news: tree branch took out one leg of my fan dipole antenna. The good news: that stopped it from taking out my roof
I have some grow lights that produce a lot of interference on 40m. If I want to fix that, how hard is that likely to be and where would I start?
I've been practicing CW on and off for a while. Finally think I'm about ready to try a QSO. Made a very simple key last night
Anyone know a good guide on the difference between T and pi matching networks? I've read things that say when to use each, but they don't say why, and I'm curious. #electronics #matching #swr #antennas

Apropos my last post, are there any HF nets for women and girls in the US?
My 6yo: Everyone on the radio sounds like a boy... but maybe some aren't?
Me: That's an interesting observation, there are definitely girls who use the radio.
Her: I know, like me!
First 15m contact! Used my 40/20 fan dipole and a homebrew tuner (thanks for the rec @va3db). Contact was with w6afa in Los Angeles.
