kc1dykI have some grow lights that produce a lot of interference on 40m. If I want to fix that, how hard is that likely to be and where would I start?
Anarchist Radio Relay League@kc1dyk easiest place to start would be putting ferrite beads on the cord. If there's still noise after that, either figure out which component in the lights is causing the noise and replace it, or replace the whole thing. Probably just replace the whole thing, unfortunately. Good luck.
wgoodf-@anarchistrrl @kc1dyk If the the lights and radio are plugged in to the same mains supply- try running one on batteries to see if the interference is coming in that way. Then some sort of mains filter if it is.
