Yesterday we packed our bikes to go out camping for a night (the first time in over a year). We were looking forward to it the whole week.
And then yesterday when we met up with our friends (25km into the route) the whole squad was joking about returning home. We rode 15–20km together and then decided that we all truly wanted turn around 🤣
The coffee in bed tasted extra nice this morning!

Shifting baseline syndrome ( #SBS ) is what happens when we forget how vibrant the natural world used to be. Each generation grows up with a more depleted environment and calls it “normal,” simply because it’s all they’ve ever known.
