@shafrhistorians

SHAFR friends, thanks to @BrianJAP 's help, I started a discussion group for SHAFR. If you're interested in US foreign relations and/or international history, it looks like it should be a good way to connect here. Please spread the word!

Looking forward to welcoming
Tisa Wenger & Sylvester Johnson to my religion and empire seminar tonight to talk about their volume RELIGION & US EMPIRE: CRITICAL NEW HISTORIES. Such fabulous essays in here (including one from @karinewalther --don't know if any of the other contributors are on here yet!)

#introduction: I'm a #historian of the 19th century US in the world with a focus on religion and Protestant missions.

My first book, Christian Imperialism, examines the early foreign mission movement as a window into American thinking about empire during the era of the early republic.

I'm currently finishing up a new book: Missionary Diplomacy, which traces the connections between missions and American diplomacy in the long 19th century.

If you see me in real life, I'm probably #knitting

Trying to track down other #shafrhistorians

So far I've found @robrakove @karinewalther @econroykrutz @Megan_A_Black @gbrew24 @CMcKNichols @marcpalen and @DowdallAT

Who else is out there?
