I love when an org announces a purposeful break from external communication. @wehere doing a "winter slowdown", for example, or Reconsidered taking January to go into "focus mode." We don't need to hear from everyone all the time.

Perhaps Orwell's work owes its popularity among Russians to Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, who previously stated that it turns out that the whole world was wrong, but in fact the novel describes the dangers of Western liberalism, not totalitarianism.
