Instead of working on my two WIP's (one is book 2 of a series, the other, a novella), I just wanna draw and design book covers all day.

(2/2) When the book first came out, it seemed right up my alley since I did my undergrad in linguistics, but TBH I was still recovering from reading the bleakness of Poppy War years ago. For someone who plays super violent video games, reading about that amount of violence was too much for me.

(1/2) Thanks to that *one* Babel review and the uproar it caused, I went out and bought the book (and I almost *never* buy hardcovers) and moved it up in my TBR pile. I gotta read this book that makes white people so angry 😆

I’m still at that stage where I am shocked when I get a 5-star review on my book from a stranger. 🥺

You know he's a romance hero with his ruggedly handsome features, cut jaw, slightly crooked nose, sexy face scar, broad shoulders, dark hair, and violet eyes.

Cis people be like "it's too difficult for me to use your new name and pronouns" but then start calling Kanye West "Ye"
New site! Not really. Got inspired to change the color scheme of my site to match my latest book cover and...I kinda like it more than the orange!

#WritingWonders Day 1:

My WIP is a small town sapphic romance with hints of the paranormal. It follows a woman in her late 30s and awkward navigation of the dating scene.

She's very much a late bloomer, in that the idea of romance was something fun to daydream about ("It's on my to-do list."), but ultimately work and looking out for her father were far more important.

It's essentially a story about self-discovery, just not in the way the MC expected.

I did it! Still no where near done with the actual content of the novel and I'll probably have to cut a bunch of stuff out, but I wrote 50,000 words!

#NanoWrimo

I managed to get 821 words today after a pretty hectic day that started with an extended power outage, me hosting family brunch, a coffee emergency that meant I had to drive to two different places and come back empty handed, some sports ball, and cleanup for hosting family brunch. I'm pooped, but happy I got time to write.

I think I'm in the home stretch now. But still muddling around Act 2
