Tesla is the big winner from the auto tariffs as 100% of their vehicles sold in the U.S. are made here. By comparison, 77% of Ford's autos are made in the U.S., followed by Stellantis (57%), Nissan (52%), and GM (52%).

This is a massive gift to Tesla. Looks like Donny and Elon aren’t breaking up anytime soon.

I’m asking Bluesky users to consider bridging their accounts to the Fediverse. This doesn’t need to be a fight to the death of social media platforms – they can make each other better.

Bluesky friends, consider bridging to the Fediverse!

As I and others have been exploring our social media horizons beyond the legacy options of Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, etc., I’ve made no secret of my skepticism about Bluesky. But I’ve also been lurking there lately and the center of gravity for the political news and conversation I used to get from Twitter is definitely on Bluesky now.

This is pretty cool, I don't have a congressperson for the foreseeable future. Democracy! https://theintercept.com/2025/03/21/texas-greg-abbott-house-democrats-special-election/
Texas’s GOP Governor Can Arbitrarily Deny Democrats a Seat in Congress Until Next Year

Texas’s heavily Democratic 18th Congressional District has an empty seat. State law gives Greg Abbott the power to delay the election to fill it.
