@zkat @james For me it's not really to do with Eich, it's the response to criticism, the claim that taking a political stance like "dont donate to campaigns to hurt queer people" is the reason tech has languished for years, and the diehard fans being "cancel culture!!" dickheads. A company who's mission is to "humanise the web" can't do that whilst being apolitically ignorant and doing it with generically trash AI.

@james I'll be trying Mojeek from tomorrow, as I'm likely to run out my trial searches on Kagi in my sleep tonight. Mojeek seems to be the only viable alternative to Big Search, from some brief research.

@zkat @james unfortunately, Kagi is on a lot of peoples shitlists as of a few days ago and many have cancelled their subs. I'll be trying mojeek next.
