@mlabowicz I don't know. I think that maybe because the first/pilot episode is "good enough for TV" quality, and if it gets high enough ratings, then the production gets a higher budget to improve things like cameras for following episodes.

A thing that really bugs me is the added grain in the first/pilot episode to hide the not so good quality video. I'm sure I just answered my own question with this. 😕

I have been transcoding videos using HandBrake, FastFlix and other tools for many years now.

I generally use x264, high10, veryslow, animation/film, crf18 for things from DVD. Same settings for all episodes/movies.

What I don't understand is, when I encode the 1st (pilot) episode, the file size is generally much larger than expected. When I encode following episodes (same settings), they generally have smaller file sizes.

All episodes are ~40-45 minutes in length.

@heash_0831 I understand. You also have to remember that KDE is not GNOME. GNOME, while powerful, is watered down for people who may suffer from PEBKAC or just experiencing a slight ID:10t irritation. With a couple of doses of Linux/Open Source community kindness, a couple and headbangs and a facepalm or two, the newbies will fit right in with which ever desktop they want to try.
Someone remind me to complete my replies on here before going off to do something else. My previous reply sat here looking stupid and incomplete for 4 days before completing it.

@heash_0831 While I can't disagree with that logic, you can type "scr" in the Application Launcher menu and it will show Screenshot Capture Utility as a subtext to Spectacle. Right click it and select Add to Favorites.

I'm guessing that you are expecting everything KDE related to have a K in the name. Not a bad logic, since almost everything KDE related has a K in it somewhere. Sometimes it's a good thing to break away from the norm and do something a little different. :)

@BenDoubleU Column pinning looks to be as close to what I can get. I'll toy with it tomorrow. Thank you.
@kd8bxp @FediTips Thanks. I'll get in touch tomorrow. I gotta hit the hay in a few minutes.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the Mastodon UI have more than 3 active rows?

With TweetDeck, I used to have about 30 rows open that showed posts in various lists in real time.

Here, I would like to follow all the hashtags and groups in the same manner. Is it possible?
