Font detective work is in the news again, this time faked screenshots accusing Ben Shapiro of writing bigoted remarks about Candace Owens.
Wer ab dem 7.11. bei MyFonts Schriften neu lizenziert, darf sie nicht mehr legal in PDF einbetten. Ja, richtig gelesen. Es sei denn, man erwirbt eine teurere, erweiterte Lizenz.
Merkwürdig, dass diese Lizenzänderung so wenig Aufmerksamkeit bekommt. Eigentlich erwarte ich, dass analog zu dem »Tod von Adobe«, der letzte Woche von einigen Auguren prognostiziert wurde, nun das Ende vom MyFonts heraufbeschworen wird. Nun ja.

Casually looking around for an 1867 printing of the Divine Comedy with Dorés engravings at original size, I chanced upon this 1938 printing from Berlin with a rather ghoulish dedication page, but more interestingly, some kind of uncial grotesk attempt in the body type. Elsewhere some Walbaum and what might be Genzsch-Antiqua.
Cover has stains and scratches. All pages are held securely in the binding. Corner of book are creased. Inner pages have no writing. Pages do have some stains. Out edges of paper are stoned. Thanks for the look and the bids!
