Thinking about this more: I wish Apple was willing to be boring.

Like, I can’t imagine them *just* executing the “fitness band” concept really well, even if that would be valuable to a lot of people. If they can’t pretend they’re redefining the category, they just can’t be bothered.

@christianselig Would love to see Apple take a shot at this. I don't usually mind wearing my Watch, but the idea of silencing on-Watch notifications without turning on DND on my phone has been pretty appealing lately. And it'd be fun to wear a mechanical sometimes without having to give up the health telemetry.

Yes, not all AI is LLM-based and you might argue LLMs shouldn’t be classed as AI, but c’mon. If someone asks a broad question about AI in 2026, they’re talking about LLMs unless they say otherwise.
