A nice day for a walk along the Ottawa River.
It was a beautiful day for a walk.
Well, that’s that. A toast to almost thirteen years at the same company. Looking forward to the new things that 2023 will bring.

#DYK that the forensic scientist Frances Glessner Lee created real crime scene dioramas to train homicide investigators in the 1940s/50s? She was troubled that patrolmen and detectives rarely knew how to secure a scene for the medical examiner, or identify key evidence that might prove useful in a forensic investigation. And so, she set out to create dioramas as educational tools.

She also helped found the first Department of Legal Medicine at Harvard when forensics was in its infancy.

Fediverse! I am running a short intensive (which I am VERY excited about), Leader as Coach, for folks who want to add coaching skills to their leadership practice.

What Leader as Coach gives you that books can't is a safe space to practice coach-like conversations with other humans and learn from hands-on experience.

You can learn more about the course and sign-up to know when registration opens: https://maven.com/andrea-mignolo/leader-as-coach

Please share this far and wide! Thank you!

Getting ready for the holidays with a Millionaire Flip: 2oz Bourbon; 3/4oz Dry White Curaçao; 1/4oz Absinthe; 1/4oz Grenadine; 1/2oz Lemon Juice; 1 Whole Egg. Time to make the Christmas cookies!
While making Christmas cookies one should have a gin and tonic the size of their head: 2oz Gin; Juice of half a lime; top with Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic water. Add ice and stir. Garnish with cranberries, lime slices, peppercorns and a sprig of thyme. #janifarcocktails
And yet another option, The Elderflower Manhattan: 2oz Bourbon; 1oz St. Germain; 1/2oz Dry Vermouth; 2 dashes Angostura bitters. Add all ingredients with ice into shaker. Stir until chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a cranberry. #janifarcocktails
