While I don’t use #XMPP systems any more, I am delighted to see all the activity that is happening within the ecosystem!

I was an early user of jabber.org (in the early 2000’s?) and continued to use it until it just got so overrun by spam that it was useless for me. Simultaneously, other places that had been using XMPP systems were all moving to Slack or similar messengers, particularly as independent clients were struggling.

But I have always like the ideas of XMPP… I wish the community well

So, the past few days we focused on fixing numerous bugs in Movim with many fixes in Multi-participants calls and general presences handling.

We're slowly getting closer to a proper release, stay tuned ✨
