I spent some time chatting with @wood and @bencurtis from @honeybadger about selling Metrics Watch, and about conferences, a few days ago...and it's here, live! :)

I've been running a meetup for a decade, and we're doing website + email + social media all by hand...and it sucks. Everything else (Finding a venue, speakers, etc.) is fun and easy.
Are you aware of a platform that would allow you to set up an event with talks, speakers, and all the details, and it would send emails and social media posts on a schedule?
That sounds so obvious. Why can't I find one that makes sense? (and that's also available in French, if possible)
Always fun to listen to bootstrapped stories on the Founder Quest podcast! That one with the Judoscale founder was a good one!

I'm not in the market for freelancing or a job (at least, not yet), but I'm curious about it.
The job market seems to be pretty hard, even for good senior or staff devs. What's your take on it?
And what about freelancing? What are the opportunities and rates these days?
It was great catching up with Adam McCrea from Judoscale — full episode here!

Longtime friend of the pod Adam McCrea joins Josh and Ben to catch up and chat about his journey building Judoscale—an autoscaling service for Heroku, Render, and AWS!Blue Ridge RubyJosh’s Blue Ridge Ruby recapKyle SholdPrintfectionJudoScaleSignWellHeroku Add-onsRouter blog post:...
I recently sold my SaaS, Metrics Watch.
I'm toying with a few different ideas, and while at it, I'm challenging my stack and hosting.
I really love Heroku's simplicity, but I also want to try various options to better understand the landscape for hosting a Rails app in 2024.
I've been playing with Dokku (which I used a decade ago), Cloud 66, and Caprover, and now I will try Fly, Render, Railway, and Hatchbox. What else should I try?
