Seeing the Tesla stock price continue to fall is gratifying, but it should never have been this high. Tesla isn’t particularly good at making cars, and yet they’re priced like a software company. Even after three months of losses, they have a price/earnings ratio of 108! Apple is 36, Google is 28, Nvidia is 36. Do we really think a car company that produces mostly finicky luxury cars and only barely turns a profit by selling carbon credits to other automakers has so much more potential than actual tech companies?
