Whoa, buried deep inside a hacker news thread is an iOS keyboard trick I never knew about but will change how I use the keyboard forever.

Tap and hold space and it turns into cursor nav. Tap and hold space then quickly tap the keyboard by with another finger to turn on text selection.

Went with my sister to Bonsai Bai Me, and walked away happily with a Schefflera. I had a Schefflera over a decade ago and loved it and I’ve been wanting one ever since it unfortunately died in someone else’s care. #schefflera #bonsai #utah #pleasantgrove

This is a Macintosh (the original) emulator. It emulates the CPU, video hardware and floppy disk (partly) well enough that you run the original OS and applications on it.

And it runs on a Raspberry Pico ARM microcontroller meant to turn on lights, read sensors and control toys.

Google is so powerful that it "hides" other search systems from us. We just don't know the existence of most of them.
Meanwhile, there are still a huge number of excellent searchers in the world who specialize in books, science, other smart information.

Keep a list of these sites for reference:

Does anyone have any clue why my #listmonk instance routing emails through AWS SES, would be softfailing because it's routing through my Registrar (GoDaddy)?

I have no idea why it's routing that way. My spf record has both secureserver.net and amazonses.com but that’s because our personal emails use GoDaddy’s system. SES should be sending from a subdomain anyways...

Does anyone know of a Linux sysadmin refresher course? I want to just spend a few hours to get my brain thinking in the right way again. I have been doing technical sales for to long and I am sure i have forgotten loads :-) #homelab #linux

Anyone have any tricks for passing a dynamic variable into a #podman container? Something like VAR=$(curl https://website)

I’m using Quadlets and want to get acme.sh to lookup the current ip address when it runs on a cron.

#docker #selfhost #podman

Sometimes I worry that holing up during COVID destroyed my ability to have normal conversations with people, but then I remember that I lacked the ability to be normal in conversations way before 2019.

My latest setup for my #homelab has been @almalinux machines, running @Podman_io quadlets for each service and I’m very happy with it.

With #wireguard and an #nginx reverse proxy, I’m closing in on my ideal setup.

I even have @gitea runners that build sites and uploads to a Gitea package registry so the quadlets can update automatically. Feels nice to get the #selfhost software organized.
