I'm addicted to 3d printing and 3d modeling. Most of my creations are practical but I occasionally create illusions or other art as my mood dictates.
I also still build and design electronics projects using Raspberry Pi, Arduino, PIC chips, Picaxe, or whatever I grab first from my drawer.

Although you may have had larger "follower" counts on the birdsite, not all of those followers will be active. In fact, a huge number won't be. They'll have just collected like dead wood over the years.
That birdsite follower count has a vanity factor to it. Ignore that - and look at your level of interactions here. That's the test of active followers and a vibrant community.
And then make sure you're chatting away with others too. It makes all the difference.

Well damn! So I deactivated my Twitter account, just because I felt the future of Twitter is either stagnation or worse and what do I find?
I can't login to some sites and services! I forgot that I used Twitter login OAuth as my login on some services. Trouble for me, is I forgot which ones, Discord, Tiktok, etc... So, my @jessl3d on Twitter is back.
I still like Mastodon better. I feel like Twitter has one tentacle touching me that I can't escape.

Octolapse stability looks much better to me than seeing the head jumping around. I think I need better lighting.
I finally dropped Twitter. It wasn't me thing in particular, n fact it is the decentralized nature of Mastodon that really appeals to me. Any media company that is owned by an individual will be influenced by that person and their views.
Being decentralized, there's still that possibility that a server owner could have influence but having competing servers reduces that likelihood.
I understand that the protocol is write an #introduction so here goes.
I started programming at 14 on a VIC-20 in BASIC and assembler. I've written many games, none successful, but some of my mobile games can still be found on mobile repositories.
A friend introduced me to 3d printing to make a case for a retro handheld called the MyPi that I designed. It was covered in an issue of the MagPi magazine years ago.
I've been hooked on #3dprinting and 3d modeling since.
