@jerrylearnswine Here are three recommendations from @Nancy

Terroir Footprints by Pedro Parra - “A Fascinating Trip to the Great World of Terroir”

About soil and more. Not just a dry text about dirt. Covers most of the world. Very well written in uneasy to read style.

Written as if you were with the author in that location.

Volcanic Wines - “Salt Grit and Power” by John Szabo, MS

Covers volcanic regions.

I’m excited to share a feature article in the Mountain View newspaper about my upcoming #memoir about health, aging & winemaking. In short: how Grandma Kay made to 100, while breaking the rules. It’s also about California winemaking pioneer, Mario Gemello, who happens to be my grandfather. 🍷

Aging like fine wine: A local author is writing a book about winemaking, longevity, and how these themes coalesce within his family’s rich Mountain View history

Kevin Ferguson grew up hearing stories of the Gemello Winery, the family business his great-grandfather, John Gemello, and grandfather, Mario Gemello, started together in Mountain View in 1934, at the dawn of post-Prohibition America.

Little known. Among large wine exporting countries, U.S. wine exports exhibit the largest bulk wine share. 63% of U.S. wine exports are bulk - ahead of Spain & Australia with 51% each. - Germany's bulk share is just 2.5%; even more amazing, Georgia does not export any bulk wine! #bulkwine

It’s been a tough couple of weeks for me and my staff at the Shop (in short, the fates haven’t been the kindest recently) and so it was nice to taste thru a few bottles with one of my favorite reps today … #wine #frenchwine #savoie #grenache #cabernetsauvignon #rhone #syrah

If anyone has any questions about these bottles, please feel free … it’s a collection of (mainly) new things to the distributor and me. There are a couple that’ll definitely find a home on our shelves …
