I was holding it together pretty well until my wife decided to take it upon herself to change the channel to F'ING FOX News - despite me saying earlier that I had no interest in watching 'the other side'. She loves to wallow in drama & I don't.
I left the room before I said something I'd regret later. I just ate a candy bar & now I'm gonna go take a painkiller & go pass out. G'Night.
I am having a problem reconciling that Idiocracy may have finally overtaken America.
For those not familiar with #Idiocracy, it's the premise, put forward by Mike Judge, that at some point, people incentivized & voting by the basest of instincts - greed, wrath, sloth - have genetically reproduced to the point of overwhelming rational, measured, thoughtful citizens.
I'm really having a problem with that.

I don't think most people realize a #3rdparty #vote in the #USAPresidentialElection, #2024election is a #vote for the party they oppose.
Until we have #propotionalrepresentation and #rankedvoting in the #USA there is no value in #3rdparty #candidates. It's just voting for the#party you oppose! (I'm a repeater) Other #countries with more modern a #democracy do it better! Sorry for the #rant.
