I've been in and out of information security professionally, but somehow always have related projects. Mainly working with zeek and network level detection at the moment. SDR, cycling, and climbing enthusiast.

I boost a lot. Topics range far and wide from security and "the cybers" and may include politics, food, humor, science, law, nature, art, and other sundry unsavories. I occasionally post my own projects and thoughts.

I'm doing TOO MANY THINGS but they're all awesome things. Just too many. The Indigenous astronomy conference continues to be awesome (the parts I've had time to watch) though this evening I had the disconcerting experience of watching my own pre-recorded talk. Weird weird weird.
@ai6yr Ooh, good crumb.
@mattblaze This shot always hits me in a melancholy way, as I spent time there as a youth. Great photo though.

@MLE_online How did you do the chain guard for the chain arrangement you posted about before?

(Also damn nice looking.)

@ai6yr I actually worked with (technically managed) a great team in India at the last security company I worked for, so I'm not going to get all hell bent about overseas. Everything at most of these current "AI" companies seems maximally exploitative though.
@ai6yr I'm pretty sure knowing what the problems are gets you disqualified from being hired by this sort of company.
@ai6yr It doesn't even sound like an AI coding issue, so much as hiring people who aren't competent but cheap to replace your other employees with a system that is not competent, but cheap.

@ai6yr Or they rely on having a base divorced from reality.
