Ist mir eben mit der Datumsanzeige meines Smartphones passiert.

Gedanken zum Ausklang des Jahres und eine Bitte für das kommende Jahr:

"Divers" ist keine Anrede und auch kein Geschlecht.

Es ist einfach ein Geschlechtseintrag, der im Übrigen sehr ungünstig bezeichnet wurde.

Die korrekte Anrede für alle Menschen kann einfach lauten "Hallo $Vorname" oder "Guten Tag $Vorname $Nachname", egal für wen.

Ich bestehe nicht darauf, "Frau Michaela Müller" genannt zu werden, und ich fühle mich nicht schlecht, wenn auf das "Frau" verzichtet wird, wenn dadurch alle gleich behandelt werden.

Aber ganz sicher würde ich, wäre ich beispielsweise nichtbinär, nicht "Divers Michaela Maier" genannt werden wollen (wenn, wäre es eh "divergent", denn divers umfasst ja alle in ihrer ganzen Vielfalt).

Verzichtet auf geschlechtsspezifische Anreden. Fragt in Euren Kontaktformularen weder Anrede noch Geschlecht ab, wenn es dafür keinen unabdingbaren Grund gibt. Und den gibt es so gut wie nie.

As a reminder, the notion that people should be able to maintain "a clean, well-organized household" came from the 19th century Western "upper classes" where the wife was expected to stay home and do this full time - and this was used as a status symbol and status marker to distinguish the affluent from the working classes, where women almost always had to work in (poorly paid) jobs in order to keep the household budget afloat.

Therefore, this notion is not only #Sexism but also #ClassWarfare . Thus, when someone presents this kind of "lifestyle" as something you should aspire to (whether a tv show, an Influencer, or a glossy magazine), you should really contemplate what kind of political agenda they are trying to sell to you.

Now, if you _enjoy_ keeping a household in a good, clean order, more power to you! Everyone needs their passion projects, after all! But it should not be the _expected_ thing - particularly for people who are already overwhelmed by the demands this late-stage Capitalist hellscape places on us!

⚠️ Heads-up for mailcow admins:
OS upgrades may install Docker Compose 5.x, which mailcow can run with, but the update script won’t work unless refreshed once.

Fix:
Check your Compose version. If it shows 5.x, you’re affected.
In your mailcow directory: git fetch
Then: git checkout origin/master update.sh
Without this tasks , you can’t update mailcow unless you downgrade Compose to v2 which is harder than running these steps :)

If you still use compose v2 your good to go, simply run an update

Mozilla announces more AI in Firefox, still failing to understand that at this point their market share is made of tech savvy people who do not want that.

Mozilla, please. Stop chasing the fads. Get your own values.

People use Firefox to get access to an open web, use a sturdy browser, and not to be tracked. Build in that direction and that direction only.

Nobody from your current user base will recommend Firefox with AI to their friends.
