I know there aren't that many kpop stans on this site, but Moonbin from boy group Astro was reportedly found dead in his home in Gangnam, Seoul. He was 25.

Please be gentle to the kpop stans you know. In spite of the seeming pomp and wealth surrounding the industry, it has a terrible dark side.

There suicide rate in kpop is unusual for any music industry. It's not my place to speculate, but it also raises fears of copycat suicides among fans.

You may miss algorithms but the #fediverse is a place where an absence of algorithms makes every serendipitous connection genuine. Not just a third party tracker arranging fake magic to turn you onto their snake oil.
