I've been a climate activist -- not a particularly good one -- since the 1990s. The general idea from this: what the hell is wrong with people. The problem is not that people keep using fossil fuels within a built fossil fuel infrastructure: that is an individualist distraction put out by oil companies. The problem is that they don't rise up and overthrow the worst ruling class in all of history, the only ruling class engaged in destroying the Earth's carrying capacity.
I organize my thoughts around this kind of thing through poetry. Here's two of them. The first has years in which I did different activist things, and has a general conclusion at the end. The second is pretty much where I am today.

A lot of people ask me about how to identify disinformation and what to do about it — both of which are important questions — but I think the real challenge we’re facing now is: How do we identify truth?
There is no single answer, but I believe the best place to start is to look for the nuance and complexity; this is where truth lives. (Hence why propaganda and disinformation seek to degrade and destroy the very notion of nuance.)
Portugal just ran on 100% renewables for six days in a row
> For nearly a week, the country of 10 million met customer needs with wind, hydro and solar — a test run for operating the grid without fossil fuels.
