How is this not basically Linear's app design taken 1:1 and then refit for the other applications purpose? https://interfere.com/

Has it become normalized to just straight up copy popular design interfaces, or is this the shadcnification of design? Back then, you’d get some shit thrown at you if you posted a design on Dribbble that looked just a little bit too close to whatever design Stripe pushed live before.

I’m in the middle of a large Figma library refactor (pre-variables), bringing it back in sync with an organically grown Vue component library.

Thought I’d save time with the new MCP server + “skills.” Didn’t accomplish shit. Burns tokens, spams requests, gets absolute fundamentals wrong.

I‘m convinced most demos are greenfield + a lot of pretending ala „yes, this that was just generated is exactly what I expected“. Back to updating variants like a caveman, for now.

Shaders in a UI design tool? This is really damn cool. Could become very repetitive when everyone starts using a limited set of preset shaders, but I'm sure they are working on that. #design #shaders #paper
This is the color picker Figma should have shipped 4 years ago.
Paper (https://paper.design/) kinda is what Figma's AI integration should have been. Capable MCP server on top of a solid design tool that is based HTML+CSS instead of creating a gap between design and code.

Paper is a modern and powerful design tool that helps you create, share, and ship your best work.

Well today I learned there is a separate scale CSS property that basically does the same as transform: scale(), but does not interfer with other transforms. Pretty nieche, but useful when you need it.
@milos what’s this? Another attempt at a Dribbble alternative that’s actually good? I don’t know, but is asking for one sentence of explanation on a landing page too much these days? 😄
Weekend project: completely rebuilt the house build cost breakdown page of our little blog. Now with more data, more visualizations and more fun! https://hanglage-no8.de/en/costs

Just added a bunch of loose screens of applications I’ve recently designed to my website: https://telary.studio/indices/ Still need to add some actual case studies for these...
