From a #TTRPG perspective, I want to say I'm lucky 3D printed minis weren't available when I was in college. But no, actually I was terrified of flunking out the entire time, so it wouldn't have been that tempting. (which feels odd in retrospect.)
Anyway, there are sooooooo many cute minis out there now, oh my gosh. I can't buy any more of them until I paint the ones I have. It'll be a good project for the winter, I think.

looks like I won't get to do any serious mural work until 2023.
bah. just staging things for creative attempts takes time.

also after looking at a bunch of murals in person over the last 6 weeks, I'm reminded that I'm not as good at art painting as I want to be. so maybe some practice first. 🙃

To give a weird analogy:

Twitter is a newspaper delivery boy. All he sends you is a carefully curated selection of news, editorials, and ads.

The Fediverse is your postwoman. She sends many letters and packages -- of varying content and sizes. She doesn't editorialize your mail. She doesn't even know what's being delivered to you. If she picked and chose which and what to send and receive, she'd be fired.

I don't have a novel; I don't think I want to write one. I do want to work on a gaming world, which means writing.
I haven't been able to create anything like the stuff I was writing in my 20s at all.
so in an effort to track down where my muse has wandered off to, I spent a little time today reading about inspiration.
tl;dr: play! have fun! find your inner goofball!

I found a name generator, and the names are cracking me up.
"Aien Wisebreath" is my current fave.

they've never had Ethiopian food, and I feel like I need to at least try to mitigate this.
-Ethiopian food can served with tej, which is often called honey wine.
neighbors let us try some of their hibiscus mead. this stuff is good, yo. light, refreshing, a little fruit, a little floral, and a touch of honey taste too.
I'm excited about their plans to start selling this soon.
sunrise colors.
a little moody, but I've been looking for a range of cloud colors, not just lots of off-white.
I asked if maybe the problem with the staff was that they didn't have enough training.
(sometimes "on the job training" is a win for everyone. sometimes noooo.)
ok, some of them weren't trained enough. so we feel bad for them.
but the majority were determined to ignore the customers, and tell the customers what they really wanted. --I think you can bully some people for a little while. but I think most people don't want this at all, and eventually get mad about it.
got completely covered in cat fur getting to know one of the neighbor's mostly-not-feral-cats. had to shower and take some benadryl afterward. totally worth it.
I wonder if it got put into the category of shoveling?
I have memories of shoveling snow.
...in Neil Gaiman's writing, his characters frequently talk with Fair Folk, and one of the deals they offer is magic in exchange for memories. I've always read those offers, and thought "I would never do that!"
Did young Neil already know that losing weird, unexpected sections of memory is a thing that happens anyway? hmmmm.
