@PeaceRebel It's profoundly frustrating that critique of Israel so often gets labeled as antisemitism. It prevents honest discussion of the real, substantive harms done to Palestinians.
@la_panique Huh! Maybe my expectations were lower because I was sixteen or seventeen and still living in a small town, but I don't have a negative memory of it. I don't have any strong positive memories either, but it certainly wasn't bad.

@ajroach42 Well in that case! :D Hope you find some things you enjoy.

@la_panique I saw them back in the 90s and had a fantastic time, so I'm not surprised they still put on a good show. I'm kicking myself that I didn't go last night, having seen photos and reviews now!
@ajroach42 What genres are you into?
@drdan_o Your posts of memento mori objects inspired me to share one I made.
@KD_0082 I get it! Years ago, I did a cake for a partner who was a coder--it was supposed to be a DOS screen that would check the date, and if birthday, would run a message in binary that said "happy birthday". I don't think it was totally accurate, but it was fun to make, and they loved it. Sometimes the lulz are what count ^_^
After my mom died, I learned about memento mori. I wasn't sure what, but I knew I wanted to do something. Going through her papers, I found that she'd saved and pressed flowers I'd given her almost 30 years earlier--forget-me-nots. While I didn't have a lock of her hair, I had kept her brush. I combed out the strands and created a small curl of them, tied them with pink cotton thread. A glass locket houses these treasures. #MementoMori #ModernMourning #MourningJewelry
@SyrCowboy Oh! Thank you so much :D
@MonotoneofBill Dickens replies, "Both, if you please", and from the end of the bar, M. Night Shyamalan shouts, "What a twist!"
